linux - Trace binary execution to reduce size -


when program run, parts of code executed. when using more complex frameworks lot of boilerplate included code never gets executed.

question: possible trace execution of program purpose of dumping used instructions disk , in way obtain leaner , smaller binary?

edit: understand leaner binary won't 100% equivalent original program, in corner cases. have leaner version works under stable regime.
