agile - Cannot manage backlog using Visual Studio Online -


i appreciate moving target, however. have attempted manage vso backlog using both drag , drop functionality , stack rank approach. on 2015 09 25 noted along coworker either manner resulted in sparcification did not leave backlog in same order in had placed it.

the issue msdn not indicate designed behavior when backlog consistently 300 items having random order applied backlog causes havoc on daily basis. in fact sabotage.

i have used both excel , "edit work item" feature change stack rank.

what have observed this

lets have 5 items in backlog ( have 300)+

i set stack rank of first 3 items equal thay clump together

for 5 minutes order see on webpage ( if not clear vso hosted on azure)

after time ( happens immediately) sparcification ( note order stackrank) *keeping number sane on purpose althougt know ms uses larger ordination

so why not respect clumping strategy?

i have been watching backlog skeptical eye last week , appears reordering items without human intervention.i cannot , backlog owner , 99% of time ppl fess when add items without prior conversation. ( happens in organization , wont stopped shrug)

firstly, stack rank field removed work item form. check link details.

secondly, daniel mentioned above, can use excel order backlog field still part of work item, removed form.
