Verify a domain name in Azure Active Directory B2C doesn't work -

i have active directory b2c set up. added own domain, configured dns , click verify, , "could not verify domain".

why?

additional facts:

  • yes, quite adept @ dns of domains , added txt record properly
  • yes, allowed plenty of time dns propagation (1 hr to... 2 weeks now)
  • https://dnsquery.org/dnsquery/ shows expected values within minutes, fyi: "mydomain.com. 3600 in txt "ms=ms34030xxx"
  • no, did not check "...configure single sign on.." when adding domain, not supported ad b2c.

possible answers:

  • perhaps b2c "basic" (currently in preview @ time of post) not support adding custom domain. if thats case, why expose in azure console??
  • this legit ms bug, , i'm 1 hitting ( yeah right :) )

yes, question similar this one, difference here not asking how configure dns, asking why doesn't work when configured. , b2c might have different requirements or functionality in preview. please don't mark dup unless indeed determine misconfigured.

support domain verification b2c tenants on roadmap isn't available in current preview.
