Accessing Outlook's Status Bar from a VSTO Add-In -


i have vsto add-in functioning desired, many here on so. turns out, visual feedback thing - how can customize outlook status bar add-in show messages/icons/whatever?

the outlook object model doesn't provide property or method customizing status bar. instead, may consider adding own form. microsoft calls such foms adjacent. see adjacent windows in outlook more information. may find sample project in c++ illustrates required steps working in outlook - creating adjacent windows in outlook.

finally, may find advanced outlook view , form regions helpful. there no need subclass outlook windows in case. done add-in express you.
