Generate orphan mesh in abaqus python -


i trying generate orphan mesh on part python. have defined nodes using code giving tim in post.

however, following command: listelem.append(mytrabpart.element(nodes=tup,elemshape=hex8)

i ended message "there no mesh edit". seems listelem empty in case. list lengths correct. have advice me?

in abaqus can edit native meshes. time, said, have orphan mesh. way edit kind of mesh doing external script.
