php - Make some categories un-searchable in Magento search bar -


i working on magento theme. new magento. on website search bar working fine have removed product categories website. want make these categories un-searchable. don't know how this? are still searchable. working magento admin panel. please me solve problem. steps should take next?

some categories give me error

these aren't categories you're looking for.

magento searches products when use search bar, categories attributes here. wouldnt consistent categories : product in category c1 , c2. c1 forbidden in search, happens then?

instead of that, can setup searchability each product. in product admin page, in general tab, check visibility field , select catalog. product won't appear on search results (don't forget reindex after that).

you can bunch of products using mass actions on manage products page. select products want edit, on action dropdown (top right) select update attributes. on next page can change visibility products.
