Can Data-agent opscenter use cassandra native port? -


i tried shift cassandra listener rpc port native port. however, after turn off rpc port, opscenter not work. had start both native , rpc port.

is there way let opscenter use native port? also, if cassandra listerns on both native , rpc port, there performance penalty?

the answer depends on version of opscenter using. prior version 5.2, requires thrift rpc port. 5.2+ uses native transport disable thrift.

that said, having both open use marginal amount of additional memory, , should not see performance penalty having both servers bound.
