ios9 - iOS 9 | Contacts framework -


i have app designed ios 8 using abaddressbook framework contact. in ios 9 contacts framework introduced in place of abaddressbook.

to check effect of change checked in ios 9 device , working fine.

is understanding correct here?

whenever api/framework mentioned deprecated indicates sometime in future apple stop supporting api's. indicates developers should move new api's soon.

in case addressbook framework considered deprecated ios9 apple allow these frameworks of now(may till ios10) depends on apple when stop completely.

usually apple stop supporting deprecated api after major release there cases deprecated api's survived many major releases.

my suggestion move contacts framework soon.
