seo - Google Search Console Validation Failing -


all

i'm attempting validate client's website google search console account. i've confirmed meta tag site verification in head of site, , correctly corresponds string google looking in search console. however, validation repeatedly fails message meta tag not in head of document. i've attempted validate using client's google analytics account, returns error async code not in head of document, though i've confirmed is.

quite puzzled this, it's same process i've used on many other sites, including own, without ever having issue. input in appreciated.

...and, programmer error :) there open tag in head prior google meta tag, preventing accurate crawl of site.
